Ways to support the VOTE NO! campaign

The Non-Union Ballot may be open but this is not over!

We need your help to get the word out to every eligible Curtin staff member to VOTE NO!

Here are some ways you can help!

Ask your colleagues to VOTE NO!

Every vote counts!

  • Voting may now be underway but as Curtin staff members are still returning to work, they may missed our All Staff Meetings or communications. Have a chat and ask them to VOTE NO!

  • Have a conversation with your colleagues and ask how they're voting. Ask if they've seen NTEU materials around campus or have received a phone call from one of their NTEU member colleagues. If they've missed out or still unsure how to vote, point them in our direction. Send them the link to this website as a good start: https://nteu.info/curtinvoteno​

Help us by putting up posters and handing out flyers.

  • Grab some materials - NTEU posters, flyers, badges and put them up around your work area.

  • Electronic versions can be found on our Tools and Resources page

  • Collect copies from the NTEU Curtin Branch office in The Arcade/Blg 106a, right next door to UniSuper.

Take a minute to read through the messages of support from your union colleagues

  • To get an idea of the huge level of support the Curtin community has from fellow academic and professional and general staff at universities across the country scroll through the messages on the Solidarity and Support comment page. ​

  • If you work off-campus and don't get to experience the rush of activity around this non-union ballot on campus, reading the messages coming from all over can really lift your spirits and reconnect you to your wider union family. ​

  • If you're a visitor to this page, think about sending a message of encouragement yourself.

  • For those who have been working hard on this campaign, please take a breath and read the messages of support coming from all over. It's enough to make the most hardened "union thug" a little teary!

Unions really do harness the power and strength of the collective and at times, we can forget that we do hold that power, together.
